Statement of Appreciation
By: Dan WetzelI am painfully aware that it is impossible to thoroughly acknowledge and thank all the people who have influenced my personal and professional development over the past 10 years - and have thus had the greatest impact on my career as a speaker, basketball entertainer and personal coach.
Day of Champions is more than a business and ministry. It is the work and result of friends, leaders and colleagues, who have sacrificially gone out of their way to train, equip, disciple and bless me. I thank all those whom have taken the time to dream, plan and grow with me. I am grateful to all the individuals who modeled for me a life of victorious living through serving others. It is now my desire that all those whom I have the privilege and honor to work with the next 10 years will be as blessed by working with me as I have by all those who have poured-out and invested themselves into my life!
I publicly and especially want to thank:
Bruce Crevier - Bruce (along with his sister Tanya) has been one of the pioneers of the "basketball spinning" industry for several decades. It was Bruce who enthusiastically invested his time, talents and expertise in me and encouraged me to begin doing basketball shows when I was a freshman in college. In addition, Bruce and his family have always displayed a commitment to excellence in all they do and the character qualities they as a family exemplify have been a great source of inspiration to me. Thank You Bruce!
Greg Decker - Greg is the minister of Countryside Christian Church. It was Greg who took me under his leadership wing at a time in my life when I needed it most. Through his father-like love, discipline and mentorship, I was able to grow personally and mature spiritually. He spent many long hours encouraging me over the phone, offering me guidance and wisdom in his office and always giving me opportunities in his church for hands-on training. Never was there a time when Greg did not make himself available to me and offer the encouragement and guidance I needed as a husband and man. Thank You Pastor Greg!
Finally, I thank my virtuous wife Deborah who willingly stands by my side and allows me to travel and invest myself into the lives of so many each year. She has been an anchor of support when I am tired and weary, a faithful friend and a tenderhearted wife who has taken on extra responsibilities around our home with much grace so that I can accomplish my purpose and mission in life. In all my growing, no other person on the face of this earth has been more influential than my precious wife. Thank You Princess!
